Photography Tips:
1. LIGHTING IS KEY! When it comes to taking photos, you can never go wrong with soft natural lighting. If it is absolutely necessary for you to use artificial lighting, go ahead and use it to an advantage by playing with color whether it simply is just a sheet of colored paper over the light.
2. DON’T LET RAIN STOP YOU FROM TAKING PICTURES! I used to use rain as an excuse at one point simply because I always though that the sun was necessary to take photos and it was impossible to take nice pictures in such gloomy weather. I then came to discover that the rain created such nice puddles to take reflection photos with and the water droplets really helped with very minimalist photos. 3. LOOK EVERYWHERE! One thing to keep in mind is that anything can be a photography subject if you take the photo from the right angle. A fun way to try and think out of the box is looking for the alphabet in the world around you. 4. CONTRAST! If I have learned anything, it is that contrasting colors will always cause your image to look much cleaner and sharper compared to it simply containing elements in the same color scheme. For example, play with having bright subjects against dark backgrounds to cause emphasis. 5. HAVE FUN! Don’t force yourself to take pictures because it will lead you to lose your creative element when you are trying to take pictures unwillingly. It is important that you let your creative juices flow on their own during the process so you can take unique photos. |
